Simplify your Drupal 7.24 upgrade .htaccess changes

Anytime there is a Drupal task that involves making repetitive changes on many sites, I always think how I can apply drush to automate that task. The Drupal 7.24 update that was released late in 2013 requires some manual intervention to regenerate the .htaccess file. The release notes for Drupal 7.24 (https://drupal.org/drupal-7.24-release-notes) explain the manual intervention in detail. To simplify this task there is a drush script I put together that regenerates the .htaccess file for your public, temporary and private upload paths: https://gist.github.com/blazindrop/7828026

If you choose to use this script always verify that your Status Report page indicates there's no remaining issues with your .htaccess file. Good luck!
